Hello,
a bit about me:
My name is Lilian Lourenço and I am a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker. I am a freelance translator from English and German into Portuguese.
My particular specialized areas are molecular biology/biochemistry, and automotive-related subjects, but I still enjoy translating general content.
I spent the whole year of 1998 in Germany and when I returned to Brazil I had a first career of five years as a trilingual secretary in the automotive industry. One of my major tasks was to translate manuals, letters, and technical datasheets in English and German into Portuguese.
I graduated from the Federal University of São Paulo in 2010 with a B.Sc. in Biomedicine and I hold a M.Sc. in Molecular Biology from the same university. During my courses, I wrote and translated scientific papers, abstracts, reports, thesis, and dissertation in the medical field.
I am currently working full time as a freelance translator, offering translation, editing and proofreading services to translation agencies and direct clients.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, watching films and TV programmes, listening to music, and travelling.
